What happened to Academy?
Will Testor’s still share molds?

Testors didn’t share molds with Italeri, they were the distributor of Italeri kits. They used to just rebox the kits and include superior instruction sheets (the old yellow box kits), but they reboxed other companyies’ kits like old Hawk kits, Fujimi kits and several others.
Too bad since Testors is one of the few model companies that still supply to Toys R Us, Wal-Mart, K-Mart, etc.

All the information I have at this point is in the announcement. I will add updates as they become available.
This doesn’t affect Academy at all to my knowledge. MRC has a good distribution network in the US, so I imagine Italeri kits will be easy to find.
I’ll keep you updated as soon as I hear anything more.

That would depend on where your Wal-Mart, Toys R Us and K Mart are Rob.
None of those stores sell model kits here in the vast tundra (Matt started it) of Michigan. If I need a kit, I have to go to the LHS. (But not in the summer, too many tourists and not enough parking).
