I just checked out Classic Airframes website and it made me (a bomber command junkie) happy as I found they’re re-releasing their Blenheim Mk.IV and I can stop searching in vain for the old one, and they’re releasing a Martin Baltimore which is cool and all, but am I the only one that’s wondering where a 1:48 Hampden is? I know I shouldn’t complain, since my return to the hobby a 1:48 Halifax and Wellington have arrived on the scene making a huge portion of bomber command for reasonable to build that vacuform models available. I’m not holding my breath for an Injection Whitley or Stirling, but a Hampden’s nice and small, common somebody… go for it. (I do know Fonderie miniatures has talked about one, but if you’ve built one of their kits I’m sure you know why I still hope someone like Classic Airframes will step up to the bat.)
Amen to that , toomanyslurpees! Now, since we are wishing. how about the V bombers in 1:48 also? [:D]

I have one of the old ZTS 1/72 scale Whitworth Whitley’s in my stash. The detail is not bad. The raised panels lines are a little dated but everything is there to put make a decent model. I often think about pulling this one out of the pile to start on it.I mean when is the last time you have seen anyone build a Whitley in any scale? That alone should make it a cool build. How could anyone find fault with anything on the build. There is not a whole lot of reference to go off of. How about it. Who would like to see a 1/72 scale Whitworth Whitley?

I bought decals for a 1:72 whitley pretty much just for the drawings that come with it, I have the 1:48 Sanger vacuform and figure I’m going to need all the references I can scrounge up, though I did find a small book on the whitley with lots of photos, I’ll have to dig it up and tell you who put it out. Hard to want to build it being it is so ugly, but I would like to get the main machines of bomber command built.
hi, have you ever built a ‘sanger’ vac’ form model at all ?, if not i’ll pray for you when you start it[%-)] ever seen the sanger 1/48 avro lincoln built up ? one mean looking bird, i’ll tell you

Yeh, I saw your Lincoln when you posted it, nice work. I do have the Sanger Hampden, Stirling and Whitley, I did a very small amount of work on the Hampden but stopped when I heard a rumour of the FM Hampden, and I’ve done a very small amount of work on the Stirling, mainly just cutting out the fuselage haves and building up some framing inside, pretty easy considering the shape of the fuselage though I know there probably won’t be much else I’ll consider easy so I’m trying to enjoy it. I have cheated and scrounged up hercules engines from a Lancaster B.II conversion, Turrets out of a Lanc I built when I was little and various other bits and pieces but it’s gonna be a long road.
