Monogram/Revell F-4 Blue Angel

Does anyone know if this is a Hasagawa kit repackaged by RM? Or is it the old Monogram F-4 B or J (can’t remember).?

I hope someone corrects me if I’m wrong but I could have sworn that I heard this was a reboxing of an ex-Hasegawa kit. Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks!

Eric

Yes - see http://cybermodeler.com/hobby/reviews/kit/kit_rm_f-4j.shtml

Sorry to disagree with you tailspin, but this IS the old Monogram, now Revell kit. The auxillary air intake doors on the belly, the lower spoilers, wing reinforcing plates and a few other points are identical to several Monogram kits that I have built. The only way this is a reboxed Hasegawa kit is if the Hasegawa kit was a reboxed Monogram, which I suppose is possible.

My bad - I was saying yes to Monogram. When I came back to the question after finding the review to reference, I just read the title and forgot that the Hasegawa alternative was also on the table…

Thanks,

It is the old Monogram kit. It is not a bad kit but I do not want to spend hours rescribing panel lines. The gloss paint finish and the masking is enough extra work as is. But like all other Blue Angel and Thunderbird kits I must have at least one. It may be worth the price for the book! Thanks again.
