hello all modelers, as a novice modeler, that is only 7 models completed, I decided to try and build a 1/48 monogram me 262 kit number 5453. I found one on ebay a few months ago, paid £10 for it and when it arrived made the fatal mistake of not checking it properly. A major part of the aircraft is missing from one of the sprues, that being the “gun port panel item 29”.Its too late to get back in touch with the seller as the kit has now been started. Is there any modeler out there who can help. I’ve tried to scratch build the panel but finding it very difficult so if anybody has this part going spare I would be the happiest novice modeler in england. thanks again and a happy new year. karl

as it’s Revell / Monogram nowadays I would sent them an email.
I have written to Revell (Germany) on several occasions (although these were kits still being produced) asking for spare parts and they allways replied by simply sending them (GREAT service). I got the email address through their website.
In your case I am not sure it is still being produced but it is worth the try.

Not sure what the kit part is that you require but sounds like covers over the gunbay. if you have no joy from Revell, I have some left over from a Dragon kit if they help.

hi gary, thanks for the reply,Im sure the dragon part should fit. the part is directly aft of the nose cone with 4 gun slots in it not to be mistaken with the gun access panels that can be positioned open. I will pay for any postage costs involved. I’ll contact you by email for my home address. again many thanks karl.
