Sorry about this question in here. I thought there was a “Where can I get” forum, but for the life of me I can’t find it. The question is—[?][?]Does Woodland Scenics still exist?[?][?] When I used them 20 years ago, they were makers of Dry Transfers, probably used in the model railroad hobby at first. Getting back to an earlier post regarding me wanting to make my B-52D as the 50049, rather than the planes shown on the box art. I was going through my old transfers today and found the style and the size I’ll need for the outboard fuel tanks on one of the sheets, but only in white. It would sure be nice if they were still in business and make the same set with red coloring. Anybody know about this company? Thanks, Gary
The tip tanks on many of the BUFF’s had the last 3 digits of the tail # and a horizontal stripe in reflective white. I have never seen numbers in red on the tip tanks. The full number on the vertical stab and the last 3 on the nose were in red. I don’t know anything about Woodland Scenics.

I called the local Hobbytown this afternoon about the Woodland Scenics dry transfers…no luck! They don’t make the right style in red. I was looking for the red numbers to do the tail, not the tanks. I do however, have the numbers in white from Woodland Scenics for the tanks and the nose of the plane. I don’t know what to do yet for the tail, I even toyed with the idea of making a stencil (bad idea I think). I did go to the Woodland Scenics website, and it’s true, they don’t make them in red. Now it’s off to plan X. (There is no plan X!)
Yardbird78, I think I wrote it poorly when I mentioned the fact that I had the white transfers but no red ones. I planned on using the white on the nose and the wing tanks, but the tail (red) I just don’t know. Sorry for that bit of confusion. Gary
Why not just use a decal sheet of letters, trace around each number, paint them red, trace around them again, and use them indivually?
I’ve bought a number of really nice sets from this guy. The trick is to buy a lot at once, because the shipping from the UK is expensive, but it’s a fixed price, and it comes pretty quick. Highly reccomended.

As a professional graphic designer, I’d watch out for transfers. They’re fine when you have them made, but if they’ve been on the shelf for a while they are worthless.
