A collection of my 1/48 Monogram aircraft, all photographed at the Cameron, Texas airport. They are all 1/48 scale because that’s the only scale I build. My OCD demands that all my models be in the same scale so that their respective sizes remain constant in display. (I know…[:^)])
I hope you enjoy seeing them!

Well, not at the Cameron airport but at the neighboring Coffield Regional Airport:
And finally, while technically not a Monogram kit, here’s one from Revell (from around the time of the merger I’d say):
Thanks so much Raymond and rocker! You guy’s are too kind…but don’t stop!![:D]
Thanks Britt! And I kinda like that airport designation, TEX. You might suggest that one to the FAA![;)] There is a big, new hangar about finished out there now. That will be nice to have in the background. I have a Monogram (what else?!?!) F-16 and F-15, and a Me-262, that need to go out there for pics. Hopefully soon.
First, Mike, thanks so much, I really appreciate that! That Hun is a favorite of mine too. It was given to me by the pilot who flew that particular plane in Vietnam, Maj. Don Schmenk, yes, with the decals for his bird. To me that was just so cool. And yes, Maj. Schmenk liked it too![:D]
Gamera and Chris, thanks guys; sometimes I get lucky with both the models and the pictures.[:)]
Ken, much thanks, I think having the airport as a backdrop really aids in the illusion that those are actual planes. I feel lucky that I can go out there pretty much whenever I want for a photo session.
Ernie, man I love hearing those comments buddy![B] I have a bunch of other Monogram planes that will have their pictures made out there too. An F-16A, an Israeli F-15A, Mirage 2000 and a Mig-29 all need a turn, not to mention a Dauntless, Spitfire, Mustang and Apache helo as well. Ooops, forgot about my Me-262; it will get there eventually. I guess a Monogram “Airforce” part II is in order.
The RF-101B is just the Monogram kit, no conversion and done mostly OOB, with after-market decals for a 1/32 F-117. The Voodoo, or “101-wonder” is sort of a “what-if” exercise; I just dreamed up the all-black pseudo-Blackbird scheme. I think she looks good in black!
Thank you gentlemen! I hope to have more Monogram planes photographed in the near future. I have several more that have never been photographed at the airport or anywhere else for that matter. I have a lot of fun out there, and if I take 40-50 shots of each plane, I feel lucky to get 8 or 10 good ones.[:)]
Thanks for all your wonderful comments; you have all really made my day (heck, you’ve made my week!!) I’ll never get a cap big enough for my ol’ bald head now![t$t]
