I was lucky enough to see the US Naval Historical Center’s Aviation History Branch’s offices and there were models everywhere I looked, F3Fs, F4Ds, F9Fs, all sorts of great aircraft in 1/48 scale. I noticed that they were lacking an SNJ, and if possible, I’d like to try and fill that gap. I don’t know if I’ll ever get good enough to really consider donating a model, but it’s nice to think. [:D]
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone makes decals for an SNJ in a bright pre-war livery with yellow wings, red stripes, and a gray fuselage. Also, I’m wondering if I would have to do any backdating to depict an aircraft on which that sort of paint scheme would be appropriate.
