Yeah, what stik said! I’ve built my share of Monogram kits over the years, and some turned out pretty good. Hehe, I didn’t even know their kits were bad until I got internet access…[8-)]
Haha, I know what you mean. Monogram and Revell kits were my bread 'n butter. I didn’t know they were bad either, and I still build them from time to time…I have nothing against them. If there’s a better option out there, and I have a few extra bucks to spend(not common), I like to spoil myself.
I got my start with a Monogram P-40. One of aunts boyfriends brought it over one night(with a tube of glue), and said here ya go kid, go build it in your room. I knew what was going on, but at least this time, I didn’t have to just sit on my bed with nothing to do , til they were done. He’d bring me a new model almost every time he’d come over. Before long, I had a whole air force, and something to play with, that wasn’t a stick! Many years later, I’m finally semi-settled, and reliving the only joy I had as a child.
That’s great work. That Aircraft was another one that was a product of Kelly Johnson and the team at the Locheed " Skunkworks " . Some old Air Force guys called it a Rocket Ship with wings. I really appreciate all the work that you put into it. Thanks for taking the time to post it. Bob
