There is a great article in FSM this month about making resin molds for copying parts. It looks pretty easy to do, and there’s a kit you can buy from www.micromark.com that allows you to reproduce resin parts. I don’t think you can get the text online, but I bet you could order the issue from the FSM website. Hope this helps.

Well you order a complete resin kit(Ace resin is one)and it has instructions on how to mix the RTV and the activator.First you have to find a suitable box to put the master of the part you want to copy.Then you glue the master firmly in place,mix the RTV and activator,then slowly pour the rtv over the master.You then tease the air-bubbles out with a toothpick and allow the rtv to cure until it is solid.Carefully re-move the rtv from the box and you have your mold!Mix the 2-part resin,pour it in the mold,tease out air bubbles,allow resin to cure and finally pop out your new part!
