Hey guys i just picked up an old kit i tried ages ago from my dad, the hasegawa 72nd scale f-14b, and it has a mold line right down the middle of the canopy, i had sanded it off and its obviously left the canopy looking quite bad, whats the best way to fix this problem?
Sand with successively finer grades, if you can get your hand on a tri-coat polishing stick, they are great. If you can’t get that, you can try the drug store women’s nail dept. They sell the same thing, only its probally goning be pink on one side. That should get you a smooth but still somewhat clouding canopy. Then dip the thing into a container of Pledge Future acrylic floor polish, put the canopy on a paper towel drain excess. You’ll be amazed at how clear the canopy is, better than before sanding.
