Was looking for something other than Star Wars to paint and ran across a set of Fallout T-45 Armor miniatures. Decided it was time to give one of them their time out in the sun. I was hoping that by the time it was completed, the piece would feel like it had just stepped out of the game.
This was my photo for inspiration and guidance.
Which led me to the following results. Given the world this figure comes from is dirty and gritty, leaving it in my nasty looking paint booth seemed quite fitting.
Time to pull another model from the stash to build!
Lol that an interesting impression TB! ‘Meesa fill you full of lead mon!’
Looks great Phoenix, you’re on a roll! I love the spent ammo casing on the base. [ht]
Funny, I never really used the suits in any of the Fallout games. I took a pile of perks in sneak and rifle and snuck up on foes and plugged them with head shots.
Well, I can’t help it if I have been trained to notice odd stuff. It is still a neato figure. On that, Why is everybody down on Jar-Jar? I thought he was funny, in a weird sort of way. Totally off the wall for sure! Note; That movie where he first appears is the last Star Wars Movie I’ve seen as well.
You calling out odd stuff is what makes it fun! Differing perspectives keep things fresh! [:)]
Leaving possible issues with Jar-Jar aside.
Taking it on face value, there’s this bad-a** battle armor from a dark, hardscrabble world, with gallows type humor and now the light hearted comedic relief (with a very unusual speech pattern) from a different universe is crammed into it. My mind balks at it. It reels in pain trying to reconcile it. It’s like mixing matter and anti-matter together. It makes me laugh and cry. [:D][:'(]
