modern desert 3 color b.d.u. pics.

most of the army seems to be still using the 3 color b.d.u.anybody have any pics of the b.d.u. front and back?also is the body armor still in the woodland camo? Thanks.

Here is a photo of them, basically it is a random pattern, the back looks the same as the front.

The IBA (Intercepter Body Armor) is currently available in Woodland, 3-color desert camo, and the USMC still uses a dark sand color overall.

Here is an articel on how to paint them that has some photos of the actual DCUs that might help too.

Look in the center of the page at the top for a link that says military photos. There are some great photo references on this page.

I will tell you that the new bdu looks nothing like those pictured above. We are all supposed to be equipped with the new digital bdu by this summer. I wonder if the model makers will keep up with the change?

How about the Marines, who already have a digitized camo pattern? Anyone have a method to paint that already? The only thing I can think of would be to dab the end of a worn-out brush on the figure, and try to make digital spots with the ends of the bristles…

the marine uni’s are different from what we are getting issued. The pocket placement and such are not identical. If I had some to post up I would. But the bristle idea may work.

New ACU (Advanced Combat Uniform) to be standard wear by 2007.
