Modeling Resolutions

I’d like to get my 1:72 Hasegawa F-104G (started late summer) and 1:24 Fujimi Renault Coupe (started last summer!) finished by the end of the year.
I’ve now also got a 1:35 75mm pak40 and crew, and 1:72 Merkava in the construction phase.

If I were to have a resolution, it would be “to be always doing something” [:D]

Dwight- Which of the four do you think you’ll finish first? Is the Hulk based on the old show, movie, or the comic book directly?
Chris-lots of work yet to do+Learning to draw the line (a ruler helps)
ATTN no one mention anything good to Monsterarmor and if he does get wind of something good we have to buy them all up to save him!
So MadMF is it really gonna be easier to move fragile models or unbuilt kits? I’d think the kits would be easier unless you don’t keep all the built models(gifts, museum, an ordered one for someone).
Nicely said Keyworth.
No It’s not done,Dave, but I did cut the pieces for the collar and washed them. They should be dry for tonight. Hey I have dibs on this planet. Find one for yourself. You and Paul need to get busy. Raising an army is no easy thing. Several is a real challenge.
What’d you do now tigerman? I’ll have to check that thread.
SWEET! Trevor, did you mix and match parts for Murphy or does some company make a kit? Good luck on the Sherman but Murphy will be waiting…
Cute, Eric. No don’t take that as a complement. Yes on the short attention span. No on the bad memory(I’ve memorized over 700 episode titles for Star Trek in order along with a short abstact of each.) You should see my planner-a list of every meeting assignment and chore, Weds. includes the Episode title of Enterprise and all the big tasks are itemized. I’ll check in on Mondays.
What scale and make of firetruck, lizard Chris[:D]?
This year you’ll start the leopard and next year you’ll finish it. right? 3ggs
Interesting system nicholma
Another no buying one from the Hulk. IN THE NEGITIVE. ([:D]?)

Robert wants to build something other than a sherman this year.
Mark wants to clear the back log of unbuilts too.
Tango 1 hopes finsh those lingering projects.
Jon wants to focus on one at a time.
kaleu hopes to do four projects AND organize the hobby room
smitty has 4 cases of modelers block to kill
kik is being very ambitious, let’s seen where it goes
Mike’s got several kits to finish. Don’t we all.
Pics must be had from all.

No no, Cassibil! I said I’d never resolve not to buy any more models!

Hmmm…maybe I shoulda said “I’ll never resolve to not buy any more models”…am I having a double negative problem here?[D)]

OK: “I’m not never gonna sto…” whoops.[%-)]

Oh boy…I guess what I’m trying to say is I’m not gonna stop buying models!

Whew, yeah, that’s it![:D]

Courtney,
Yeah I know its a large goal…but one I have set so we’ll see I should have been a lil more precise though. A week of construction time…Im going to prep and prime the parts prior to that…Might not be achievable but hey cant hurt to try…Im not adding any after market or detail sets to this build since this is my 1st F1 car…
As far as sleep deprivation ROFL I havent gotten more that 6 hrs of sleep since I was 16! I generally average 4hrs every 24 hr period…not sure whats wrong with me…Diane is urging me to see a doctor and has been for a while…I told her not to hold her breath! Im sure its bound to catch up with me at some point…but the way I see it I’ll get enough sleep when its time for my dirt nap![;)]

my resolutions (short list) :

  • finish scratchbuilt interior(s) for my 1/87 scale ‘Redbird’ subway cars
(i just wish i’d gotten my digicam before the last of these was taken out of service about about a month ago…[:(])
  • work on my 1/24 scale tuner style honda civic
  • finish my 1/35 scale BRDM-2
  • more scenery & structures for n-scale shelf layout
  • keep 1/72 ersatz m10 project on schedule

i just love making lists… and i like crossing things off 'em even better ! [;)]

frosty[:)]

LOL!! Guess I’ll need a larger army. [;)]

I have one more resolution I would like to add that is both modeling and life related…
I need to learn how to say “Thats as good as it gets…or Thats good enough for me!” Instead of ditching projects because they didnt turn out the way I wanted or perfect!

Courtney:
Don’t mind those other guys, I use a check list too.
My goal; get all 178 remaining shell plates on my corvette hull by winter’s end.
Oh yeah, start the next hull, and get the Halifax parts separated from the vac-form sheets.
…Baby steps, works for me …
Regards,
Bruce

hmm, i want to finish my DH mosquito so i can buy another kit. but i will probably never buy a kit for the rest of my life becasue i have this sinking feeling i get so many kits at christmas that i will never be able to finish building them all ! argh ! =D

Not buy kits…shudder!!! Seriously, though, this coming new year I will…

  1. Ask more questions from the guys at the club; how do they do this or that.
  2. Build more…hopefully so much so that I will forget I smoke and finally be able to break the habit!!!
  3. Get more skills and use them.
  4. Build a shelving unit in the library/game room to hold the stuff I will be building.
  5. Tell my spouse I love her because she puts up with this nonsense!!

The English won the day at Argincourt even with odds favoring the French. Be sides my cat Bub would love to decimate you army, he likes tearing up anything.

I wonder of these sleep deprivation doctors hold office during the wee hours of the morning, you know for the times when you really need the help! Hmmm… makes you think about what signals a bad doctor (pardon the spelling in advance), a Pulmonologist who smokes, a podiatrist with smelly feet, dermatologist with pimples, dentist with braces, anesthesiologist who’s constantly high… the list goes on and on… [:D]

As for modeling resolutions, i want to finish my catalina to get to the B-17G i just bought so i can try out the bare metal foil! [:)]

Mine are really simple.
A) Finish my VW while on vacation for Christmas
B) Build a tank
C) Build a plane
The End!

Thought I provide a little fuel to you guys.
Eric, What’s left if anything for the rear deck and what’s after that?

Monogram “Kingfisher,” (currently on the bench)
Polar Lights “Dracula,” (on bench but couldent get the face right so I put it up)
Polar Lights “Frankenstein’s Monster,” (still in Box)

Dave…

Courtney:
thanx 4 the link !
i’ve been collecting material on these subway cars, and every little bit helps. even if they’re no longer in revenue service, it’s good to know that their useful life isn’t over yet (correction: at least 40 some-odd years !)…
i remember thinking how cool it was that they were going to use them as artificial reefs instead of just scrapping them .
Redbirds ‘sleep with the fishes’ !l
frosty[:)]

I decided on the Placard’s text.

47th IPSD, 101st ABN DIV
Spring 1969- Along the Song Bo River, I Corps, Vietnam
Now for the font.

I’m beginning to worry a little bit.

Anyone else seeing a trend here. Work, work, work…

Yes work, or rather play since it’s a hobby. Or I could say trabaja.
