Modelcrazy's bench WIP 2020

Let’s say the Pummel guns are the main turrets, Pulse cannons are the 5", mainly for defence, The Mk.43 torpedo are in six rapid reload vertical launch tubes between the fore and aft funnels. there is forward firing only, Sonic Disruter cannon as the main destruction at the bow along with forward firing Heavy Nutron Pulse rifles forward firing at the bow blisters. She can fire a heavy salvo broadside with 6 Pummel guns in up to a 75 deg arc but her main punch is the forward weapons[:P]. Speed? I haven’t got a clue.

I’ll be working on a space carrier (the Academy 1/800 Kitty Hawk I bought for hardly anything) for air support later, after I finish some real subjects.

Thanks for looking in guys.

Here the MO is with some red on her. Now that it’s on I like it so I’ll add some more.

I was thinking of copper for the wing pods, engines nozzels, antennas and hull vents.

I also worked on the RHIBs, crew and helo for the Spruance and Perry. I worked some on the Spruance bow spray and think I have it where I want it [*-)]

I’m back to completing the Spruance and Perry. Here is where the Spruance is as of last night. I’m not 100% happy with the bow spray but studing actual pictires I need to extend the splash a little further back down the bow. Easy addition while I finish one more motor small boat.

Guys, I’m done with both the Spruance and Perry. I completed them within a hour of each other.

Lots of pics so grab a cup of something.

Spruance

Oliver Hazard Perry

Next, I’ll continue working on the AT-ST.

I painted some more on the MO

Steve,

Although I’m impressed with your water, I must say, the thing that I am most intrigued about is how the flags seem to match the speed of the ship. Like water, a flag needs to reflect how its being affected by the forces upon it. Very nice job on all the details of describing what it feels like being underway.

Scott

Thanks Scott.

I don’t use the decal flags anymore. I print diffrent sizes out on printer paper and glue the cut out flags to aluminum foil. After bending it like I want I then attach it to the lanyard. I look at flags a a good uncoucious feel for ship speed, wind speed and direction.

If you do the same thing, don’t forget that the WW2 flag just had 48 stars.

Worked some on the AT-ST and Nick this weekend.

The AT-ST i will be lying the the dirt for some time, so there lots of weathering to be done.

The Nick is about done, just decals and a little touch up.

That AT-ST looks like its on Hoth!

I am really liking the many uses of foil. [:D] Ya, tell me about the 48 star thing and putting that flag on a USS Constitution for the War of 1812[proplr]

Impressive bench time Modelcrazy, the only way to become an exellent ship modeller is to study the masters…then start a ship. WOW

Chad, it does look like Hoth…hmm

Scott, really, a 48 star flag on the Constitution? Did they supply the one with the stars in a circle? [;)]

Thanks, I wish I was a master.

Done with the Nick. Now back to the other builds on the bench.

And you don’t really see many Hoth dios.

This one will be a dirt world, just to change things up.

Speaking of the walker, I added some grime weathering.

I also got back on the A7.

So here it is buttoned up and black based. I’m going to load fule on inner pylons, Mk82’s on MERs mid hard point and napalm on the outer TERs from the Hase weapons set.

Streight out of the box except for the pit.

I completed the light grey and sprayed a gloss coat. I’ll get another gloss coat after the decals. The canopy has a terrible fit but oh well. I wasn’t expecting much from the kit and not going to worry about it.

Got the decals on, most of the weathering and working on the stors.

A-7 is done. Fuel, Mk 82’s and napalm, sidewinders.

The space battleship Missouri is on the bench, ready to finish. Still working on the walker.

That’s a beautiful A-7!
