Model Instruction Sheets

General Note:

I am … how would you say… “orgainized” [:D] when it comes to modeling. I have saved almost all of my model instruction sheets over the last 20+ years. In my collection of over 200 instructions mostly Space, Sci-Fi, Naval Ships, and aircraft (including helos).

If anyone needs references to part numbers, Instructions steps etc. I might be able to help.

Drop me a line at tomcat51@ptd.net, and I’ll check to see if I have it.

ok mate - let’s see how good your collection is!

do have the instructions to:

  1. Revell’s 1/72 Lancaster (unsure of kit number - there’s a reason for that)
  2. Monogram’s Boxscale (approx 1/310) USS Ramsey DEG/FFG2 (Kit No. 00235-600/1 - this is the number on the inside hull)

I too, like most modelers have an extensive record of all paints, equipment, models, aftermarkets, boxes, etc including dates, prices, locations, etc. The only thing I practically throw away is the plastic trees (of which I slavage for paint stirrers!)

Both above kits were my bro’s and he did them when he was a youngster. Since then he gave both kits to me (in a much needed rennovation state) without boxes or instructions. I’ve been meaning to ask this for some time, but seeing you offered . . . . . .

You throw away the trees?!!

You got me there mate with the Lancaster. I don’t build too much of aircraft outside of what I had worked on with some exceptions but the Lancaster did not do it for me. I do some ships -let me get back to you on that. Gotta look it up.

By the way, I was just kidding about the trees.

Tony

no worries champ - I held off asking for these two kits cos their not exactly kits serious hobby modelers would buy if you wanted to build them.

These forums are great cos we all share info like this!

I got to make them all pdfs and log them into the database. Luke - when I did the research and found them (not in my collection though) these kits did not seem like an experienced modeler would not instructions for these, but as since you were having fun, I bow to you. Ok got one for ya. The instructions for the Revell Polaris Nuclear Submarine. Its one of my really old kits but the instructions took a hike.
Can my aussie friend save me or am I doomed?

Tony

that’s easy mate - i’ve seen this kit in my LHS, but lately there’s been some chit-chat on the ship forum (of which I’m a regular) talking about this kit and paint recommendations. Head over there and post a thread.

I will bet someone there has it - but if not go to Modelwarships.com Or SteelNavy.com, and there’s forums there too - great place for all ship info/models for sea-dogs like me. The links are below:

I tried Luke on the forum - 14 views no takers. I’ll try the websites you suggested tomorrow.
