I am thinking this would be a cool way to model a Tinger and a Hanomag! BUT, I am wondering, what is that tow bar in there and how do you think it is attached to the Tiger?
You have pictured two Sdkfz 9s towing a Tiger I tank. “Hanomag” is a heavy tractor company, not a vehicle (despite what some modeller’s think). The SdKfz 9 was made by a company called FAMO, too. “FAMO” is not the name of the tractor either.
The tow bar comes with the Tamiya SdKfz 9 kit I’m pretty certain. The tow bar would be clamped onto hooks on the Tiger’s hull.
Yeah… Hanomag is for sure it’s own company… My dad told me a long time ago he had a silly 1960’s Hanomag car [:D]
I like the tarps on the halftracks too. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that before. Gives me an idea for my M-2.
