I was going through an online model store looking at modeling books, particularly the detail and scale series which I have some of. I also remember having some of the in action series from Squadron. Obviously these are all dealing with military vehicles. Are there any equivalent books like those for cars, trucks and/or big rigs?
I recommend that you look at the Finescale.com store. There are several books in there related to cars and trucks. I don’t model cars much (I have one pickup truck in my stash) but I did see them in there yesterday when I was figuring out what cool things I could by with my gift card.
NucMedTech(Do you work in a hospital setting?)the best source that I’ve found for books on various 1:1 automobiles & trucks have been thrift shops and places like Half-Priced Books.Rummage and estate sales and flea markets are other great sources of terrific reference books at reasonable prices.
All good sounds to find info, but I think it would be nice if a company would do like a detail and scale format for some of the automobiles, i.e. 641/2 - 69 Ford Mustang, 1970’s Chevrolet Corvette. Something that would have nice photos, options listing and maybe popular modifications
Oh, and yes Mr. Tom, I do work at a hospital.
NucMedTech, For those types of specifications you’d probably need some official manual/brochure from Ford & GM.
Thanks for all that you healthcare providers do for us. Before I became an elementary teacher I worked as a surgical tech.
