Has anyone used this? How does it work? I have been using Testors Dullcote Lacquer but I was thinking about trying this stuff out too. Thanks for any info!
Personally, I don’t like any of the MM clear coats. Especially the acrylic…looks too milky. I use Pollyscale gloss and flat exclusively. Beautifull stuff, and safe on over any paint.
cheers,
Jerry
I’ve used it as a final topcoat for some of my 1/700 ships. I think it brushes just a little smoother than the MM enamel flat clear, and I have had no incidences of it reacting with decals or glues.
Thats all I use now I like it very much. Doesn’t seem to yellow like the lacquer and it’s safe over all finishes.
Thanks for the quick responses. I picked up a bottle of it at Hobby Lobby and was considering using it on my P-51A build but hadn’t heard of it.
Jerry, I just picked up a few bottle of that stuff (specifically the flat and the satin finish) to try. How do you thin it for airbrushing?
It’s ready to go right out of the bottle, but if you must thin use distilled water. Alcohol turns it into cottage cheese. LOL
Jerry
LOL! Thanks! I can’t wait to give it a try.
