missing panther v road wheels

I just returned to modelling after a decade, my very first project is a panther v 1:35 scale that was handed down to me by a good friend back in '86, after moving from place to place over the years, and finally here in Canada, the unit was a wreck and one tandem road wheel was missing.

Can anybody help me on where to get this part or atleast some info about where to buy some after market parts?

thanks.

If it was made in 1986, it’s likely the old Tamiya Panther A kit. Less likely the Nichimo one. May I suggest you put in a request at both these sites?

I’m sure you’ll get replies. If I may, please use the old Panther as a entry model. If you go and acquire a modern-tooled kit, you’ll simply be amazed at the difference btwn something crafted in the 80s and in 2010. The gulf btwn the two is epic. Welcome back!

have a complete set of Tamiya panther G 1986 89 wheels pm me. i up graded my panther i don’t need them you can have them

Clay

Thanks Clay, You are a lifesaver, but how can we ship them here in Canada? I am willing to pay for the postage. Finally there is hope to finish this long ovedued unit.

Thanks for the info. When I packed my modelling tools and units ten years ago, I never thought that one day I would unpack them again, the rush when I opened that box again is unexplainable.

sorry just got back on. pm me your address i’ll get them to you.

Clay

thanks Clay, both you and Rob are real life saver, my name is Dennis Chua, and the address is 484 Garlies street, Winnipeg, Mb, R2W4Y8, Canada.

clay, I hope you can help me again, how do I follow up with the postal services the package you sent, because up to now I haven’t received them yet. thanks again.

i’ll have to look in to it tankboy66 man that’s odd?? never happened before.

Clay

try using this link to track your package

tools.usps.com/…/TrackConfirmAction_input

input the number vonryan gave you and it will tell you where your package is and probably when it might get there.

CHICAGO,??? why

Clay

Chicago is a international hub.

would you believe Clay what happened, after checking with the post office and learned that the package was already released, we (together with one of our neighborhood watchmen) found the package several houses away, in some other person’s mailbox, funny isn’t it. Thanks again Clay, I’ll post the pictures as soon as I finish repairing that overdued unit.

thank goodness tankboy66 this has been a really odd thing?? but glad it turned out.

Clay

I’ll be posting some pictures of the road wheel you sent fitted on to my unit this weekend it fits so perfectly.

Thanks again Clay.
