Missed opportunities (revisited)

Well I really didnt feel like looking for this post anymore than I did (got to page 50 and stopped lol). I bring this up cause they really arent missed opportunities being that I actually had a working camera the days they happened. Here are two pics of an A-10 from the Md Air National Guard flying over my work.

Dont mind the date LOL, seems that every two days you have to change the batteries in the camera. So it useless to change the date.

Here are some pics of a C-141 landing near where I work.

And some of the aircraft in the boneyard.

It’s always cool to spot something like those… I’m never lucky enough to have the camera.

Wow,cool pics.Love the boneyard shots.Such a shame to see all those planes just sinking into the grass.I hate to see them just rotting away.Hopefully some of them are saved.
Thanks for shareing the pics.

Well fortunately Jeff Herne is saving about 7 of the aircraft sitting out here. He has part of an OV-1 Mohawk from here. He still has the engines and some other parts still to get to finish it. He is also getting a T-28 Trojan, T-33, F-4, F-100 2 seater, F-101 and an F-105F know as Peach '91 which is one of the decal options for the monogram F-105G 1/48th kit still to get. But its good to see that they are going to a better home. There is also a C-54 out here.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

why cant this ever happen to me.

And I thought Jeff was saving almost ALL of the planes at that particular boneyard! Your pics put that in another perspective, lol. Say, if nobody wants it, do you think I could get one of the SLUF’s? And is that an F-94 Starfire I see before me?[swg]

This past Sunday (June 6) I was out in the backyard doing some work when a pair of CF-18 Hornets streaked real low over the yard. I strongly suspect they had just finished a D-Day flypast over the Edmonton City Hall and were turning around over my area of town to head back north to Cold Lake.

It was awesome to see them so low. Thankfully it was somewhat overcast that day so I don’t feel so bad about not having my camera ready to go for that one, wouldn’t have made a very good shot.

It’s a shame that there are so few C-141s’ left. I read somewhere that it was planned to have them all gone by 2008.

It seems that we usually get one coming in once a month doing touch and goes. Last week we had a C-17 land over here got some decent pics just havent put them on my space on photobucket.
