Mirror display bases...

Well folks, my F-22 Rapotor is almost done. I’ve modeld the aircraft to be on its wheels with all it’s weapons-bays open, displaying their contents. The problem is that while it sits on it’s wheels, you can’t see anything on the underside. So I was thinking I’d go out and buy a nice round (or hexagonal or octagonal) mirror to display it on.

As of now, I’ve been to four seperate craft stores, none of which have mirrors any larger in diameter than about six inches. In order to display this aircraft relatively well, I need the diameter to be at least nine-inches, and preferable ten, in diameter.

Does anyone know of an website where I can buy something like this?

Actually, just check your yellow pages under “glass”. Most glass companies offer mirrored glass very cheaply and will even cut it to size and round the edges.

Try a beauty supply shop. I was in one the other day and they had a variety of mirrors in a variety of shapes and all fairly priced. If you really must know I buy some of my tools in beauty supply shops.

I dunno about websites, but what about those shaving mirrors that swivel on a stand; on one side is a regular flat mirror and on the other side is a spherically curved mirrror that magnifies things…

After a rather exhaustive Googling, I found this:

Beveled glass mirrors in various shapes and sizes.

Ikea sell mirrer tiles some are big 8inche by 8 inches

i know, i know, go to wal-mart.com

I got mine at Lowes – big beveled mirror. Holds a 1/48 B-24.
