Yep.
While the Hasegawa kit is now definitive, the Minicraft B-24 is not bad at all, and since its usually only about $20, its a third of the cost. Its nicely detailed, and if you mind its sparse detailing in the pit, you can get an Eduard set and still be under half the cost of the Hasegawa. If you’ve got an interest in it, and its less than $20, go for it. You won’t regret it.
HTH!
Cheers,
Alex
the one I saw was going for about $18, so I guess I may feed the stash some more.

Bear in mind that the cockpit of the Hasegawa B-24 is nothing special, and certainly doesn’t justify the difference in price between the two kits. Not that you can see much through the flight deck windows anyway. I reckon that you’d be better off with the Minicraft kit and some aftermarket to dress up the bits of the interior you can see.
Cheers,
Chris.
Is the Minicraft an old Academy kit?
George
well I’ve now come to the conclusion that if I do built a B24, I want to do a B24J (Dragon’s Tail)
gary
Yes. They are boxed as Minicraft kits, but IIRC, come from a period when Academy and Minicraft were both parts of the same firm. Tower Hobbies have the Minicraft 1/72 B-24J, with markings for ‘The Dragon and his Tail’ for a very reasonable $US24.76.
Cheers,
Chris.
I’m glad you made that post! I’m going to order one asap.
