[:D] yes it is bro ( and my nose starting to expand)[:D][:D] in serious way,its just hand brushed.
thank you for viewing bro.
Looks great!
I see you have Trump’s LAV in the stash, another great kit!
Looks great, especially for being the crappy MiniHobby kit. You might want to tighten up the track though, it looks too loose. Also, the seam along the top of the hull (where teh upper and lower hull come together) should be filled in. It is very noticable.
What exactly is wrong with the Minihobby kits that make them “crappy?” I was under the impression they were Tamiya knock-offs marketed by Trumpeter. Academy did a pretty good job with their knock-offs… Just curious as my FLHS has one, and I thought about just salvaging the EAKK armor, but this build looks pretty good! Damon.
The MiniHobby kit has been modified for motorization and the hull is now out of wack. They also have soft detail due to copied parts. Lastly, some parts were molded as units, where they are multiple separate parts on Tamiya’s. This is done to reduce costs when making the molds, but results in poor detail and definition. For example, the suspension arms are molded onto the hull and the road wheels are single pieces in MiniHobby’s, where they are made up of multiple pieces on Tamiya’s. They are nowhere near the quality of Academy’s copies.
Here is a review of the MiniHobby AAVP7A1 w/EAAK by Vodnik. As he suggests, the best thing to do with it is save the EAAK and put it on the Tamiya AAVP7A1. That is what I have planned.
It looks like you have taken a [:(] Sad kit and turned it into a [(-D] Happy one [party].
Very nice paint. [tup]
[:D] Thanks, will and anthony
[:)]Heavyarty, thanks for the review,i tried to post the clearer and sharper color to view what is the real score in the kit and another thing…if its the tamiya or whatever accurate items are available in the stores im sure it will not receive a hand painting job, thanks for the link bro.
[:)] thanks a lot garand and disastermaster,[:(] became [:D]
My war,
looks great! I have a plan to purchase the same kit in near future and thinking about using the EAAK on a Tamiya kit as well, but just by looking at what you’ve done to yours, I may just build the whole thing.
[:)] nice plan M1garand, let us give the manufacturer happy moments in their product.[:)] thank you for viewing bro[:D]
