Minicraft TWA 707-300 Kit

Any ever built this kit?

I just opened up the 1/144th Minicraft TWA 707-300 with the JT4-D engines and noticed that the decals are missing the globes that go around the TWA logos for the fuselage and tail.

Am I missing something here?

Also, where is a good place, online, to get airline decals?

Thanks,
Steve

Steve…i’ve other Minicraft airliners but, not the 707…however,
try these decal guys…i’ve never used either of 'em but, have tons of pics of their work and they look to be more than adequate…
best of luck to ya…

The problems i’ve found with the kit are that on 707’s the engine pylons fairing went over the top of the wing at the leading edge. This is not represented well in the kit. The fairing is molded on the top of the wing but the piece that attaches to the bottom doesn’t meet up with it very well. You will need to get out the filler and practice your contouring skills. The other thing was that the clear windscreen part doesn’t fit the fuselage very well. Again, get the filler out. Be carefull not to sand through the clear piece, It’s thinner than you think, I know.
