Minicraft F-5E Lighning ?

Today my husband came home with this kit from Minicraft. He told me that he is not a great fan of this manufacterer, but but the kit contents look alright. However, as somebody mentioned in another topic “looks can be desieving”, so does anyone have experience with this kit ?
Dany bought it for me, because he knows how much I love this kind of airplane.

Hi Pat;
Of all the 1/48 P-38/F-5 Lightning kits on the market, this one is probably the easiest to build. Parts are a little thick, panel lines are deeply engraved and surface detail is soft. Overall, it is minimally detailed, but it avoids the nasty alignment problems of the more detailed kits; and, it really looks like a Lightning when completed. Just be sure to weight the nose 'cause its a real tail squatter.
Build it and have fun.

Phil Schenfeld - who completed one as the mysterious Navy FO-1

The Academy/Minicraft P-38 is a decent kit. Not as finely detailed as the Hasegawa kit, but easier to build. It looks good built OOB & with added detail can be impressive.
