A while back, I’ve found a good review of the T-72BM conversion set, with very good close-up pics… Is there any review of the Miniarm T-90S set?.. I’m gathering pics for my T-90A project, and most of the T-90S components are the same for the T-90A (except the turret itself, of course). Thanks a lot in advance. Most regards.
I know, I know… There’s announced a T-90A turret set from Miniarm, but I’m modifying a Zvezda T-90, not a Tamiya kit, I think the Zvezda kit don’t deserves a beautiful conversion set like the Miniarm one, so I prefer to make all the scratchbuild needed, so I need to gather the info. I only found a couple pics from the master of the Shtora-1 IR jammer, so that’s a beginning… Most regards.
A friend has recently finished a T90 using the hull and turret set. The finished model is fantastic. He told me the conversion was fairly quick and easy to do (including cutting the hull) and after seeing the model before, during and after construction, I must say the results are worth the cost. Keep in mind that the T-90 also has different wheels and tracks (similar if not identical to the tracks on a T-80. I haven’t looked close enough to find any differences in the tracks). If you want a first class T-90, go with the Miniarm conversion. You won’t be disappointed.
I know that too… The Miniarm T-90S conversion set is outstanding, but I’m a scratchbuilder, and I really want to make a conversion by myself… I’ll keep on looking for info for this project. Currently I have a lot of pics and the welded turret plank, I’ll wait until the Miniarm T-90A set comes out so I supose I can get some nice pics more. Most regards.
