I’ve had a set of the edwurd photoetched sitting on my bench now for over 2 years, and every time i looked at the Revel of Germany model i just sighed and shook my head. The ROG kit does not measure up to todays really great ROG kits. SO there it sat. But today my dealer(models, not drugs, but who can tell the difference[:p]) got in the Stug 4 late model from dragon. Being the good dealer he is he allowed me to open it and check it out before buying. WOW, what a sweet kit. I’m not sure what slide mold tech is but it looks awesome. This kit will build you a great looking model out of the box. THe tracks alone are soem of the nicest rubberband style tracks i have ever seen, and adding some fine wire to create sag would not be that hard. Also of note is the design of the wheels. You paint the front of the wheels seperatly and then install into the rubber portion of the kit. Perfect road wheels in 1/72 YAY>[:)]
However here are some interesting things th have some fun with. The edwurd kit #22-015 seems to be fitting it perfectly. ALso the revel of germany lower hull for the late model panzer 4 also fits perfecly, so it would be possible to create one very detailed model with link ot link tracks,a dn one that was very nice with the rubber band style.
Well back to work, i have the aber barrel for this guy,a nd i look forward to posting a detailed build in a few weeks. I will keeep you all notifed of any problems. But so far, this kit looks great. Thank you dragon.

great, now I want one! Thanks for that review, I was wonder about it when I saw it come out. Dragon sure is doing loads for the braille scale stuff!
Ok, so far, the only problem i’ve run accross is that the gun cardle sitts to far forward. It leaves a HUGE gap between it and the space it’s fitting in. THe solution is to only glue the gun cradle half way in. THen the gap looks right.
More building later. Bill
Thanks for the mini-review Crossracer. It sounds like a good kit. AFAIK and from what I have read the “slide mold” stuff allows for molding of hollow or partially hollow barrels. The rubber road wheels sound very nice. I knew someone would do this eventually in 1/72. Just like the trumpeter 1/16 T-34. Only problem is now we have to “mess them up” to make them look right [:p][:D]
