So i am am looking on some feed back here. Is 1/72 scale fun to work with? I know its cheaper and smaller but I was looking at the Zvezda kits. There Mil- 8,24,26,28 yep. I dont have much room to display so It would be nice to go smaller, I do work on 1:350 russian subs and 1/35 modern armor. Just wondering about 1/72 aircraft including helis if its worth getting into or go to 1/48. Would love to see some comparison shots. Maybe in your hand or to a modern 1/35 tank?

Sorry it took so long to reply but I was busy. Helicopters in 1/72 in my opinion are better because they don’t take up as much space. That said, the rotors take up a lot a space even for 72 scale. If you have limited space I would go with that scale.

Great work, what paint are you using and what colors? How are you achieving the satin look of the paint? Did you free hand the camouflage or mask? I know a lot of questions but the only dumb ones are the ones not asked. Again great work Magoo
Here is the paints breakdown:
Dark camo: Model Master Italian Olive Green2112.
Light camo: Model Master Italian Olive Green2112 lightened with Model Master Yellow.
Underside: Humbrol enamel 47
Blade top side: Humbrol enamel 47
Fuel tanks: Humbrol enamel 89 thinned with Gumout Carb and Choke cleaner to get the glossy look. Aluminum sheen on the pods is achieved with a pinch of SnJ Polishing Powder mixed with Future floor polish, then sprayed in light layers.
The separation lines are from Tamiya masking tape cut with a knife in irregular lines. The weathering is done with overall Floquil Grimy Black thinned with mineral spirit.
Then the whole model is sprayed with Testor’s Dullcote flat finish to get an uniform look and seal the weathering.
