MiG21 kits

So I just finished up Scream of Eagles and I was inspired to build a MiG 21. I know Academy has a couple 1/48 but I don’t know of the quality of them, Are they any good? Are there any other 1/48 options?

Thanks guys

Maybe this’ll help:

In my stash, I have a Revell Mig, and I believe one from an East European company. I’ll havae to check that. I’ve had them for a while, so they are probably both out of production. Most would probably turn down the Revell. I have’t built either, so I don’t have an opinion on quality or accuracy.

I built one a year or so ago & also used the Aires detail set. Overall, a nice kit & a fairly easy build. An AM interior will add a lot to the kit however. Also, if you can find AM decals, do so. The kit decals are not so good.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I think I will get the Academy ones and try to get a cockpit.Again thanks guys.

Fujimi makes a really nice 1/72 Mig-21. It comes in several versions, but the only difference is the decals. I built the Iraqi version a year ago and was very pleased with the kit and decals. The cockpit is exceptionally well done, especially for the small scale.
