I’m about to start on Trumpeter’s 1/32 MiG-3. I want to finish it in the white winter scheme. I am familiar with weathering aircraft but I’ve never done a finish in all white so if anyone has any advice on how to proceed, I would be truly grateful. Also, did the white paint scheme have a white bottom or was it sky blue as was usual on Soviet fighters?
The MiG-3 had a sky blue bottom. My [2cnts]. Use either a white or a very light grey primer. A dark primer won’t give you a good white finish. I’m not very good at weathering but there are many posts in the forum with tons of details on the subject. Good luck with the build. Remember the first rule of the forum, Post photos.

Thanks, Jim. How do I post photos?
Here is a nice site over the MiG-3 to get some inspiration for your wheaterhing:
