Mig-29 (WIP)

ok here we go, for the past month ive been trying to get together this academy mig-29. ive finaly got it to the spray booth and im getten ready for paint. hopefully it will all be smooth sailing from here…on with the pics

I think the cockpit looks great!!! How’d you do it? The plane looks pretty good to me!

Well done so far! Keep us posted as she comes along. [tup]

Nice work. I am woriingo on teh A version - currently waiting for parts (AM). It will be fun seeing both versions here at FSM WIP [:)]

Keep posting pictuers

cool, i want to build the A version in the future but id like to add in a resien cockpit im tryen to build this one OOB exept the seats the kit ones dont even look like ejection seats so i got a couple AM ones

Ejection seats are THE MOST FRUSTRATING part of ANY model kit, with only a few exceptions. The stock ones you show there are garbage. With the work they put in on the instrument panels, you would think they could put in a couple of hours sculpting a nice looking seat. Your aftermarket seat choice looks good.

Oddly, I prefer the B model of the Mig-29. It has a smoother looking cockpit and fuse blend, gives it a truly distinctive Russian look.

Keep up the good work!

today i tryed preshadeing…never don it before so i hope it works out

Looking good so far! great job on the pit… and good decision on the seats, those OOB are “icky”. Looking forward to the rest, thanks for posting!!

Looking good. There’s a huge difference between the two seats.

Nice, I’m almost done the same kit. I’m now just trying to figure out what paint scheme to give it!

Cheers

Your Fulcrum is looking very good so far. Keep us posted on your progress.

heres after the fitst coat of the darker color

and the second

so far so good[:)]

This is looking great. Shoot, now I need to find one of these in 1:72. I did the old Italeri one, stock OOB, and its kinda crappy. Yours is looking excellent. Please explain in more detail about your paint technique / process for the camoflage.

The pre-shading looks excellent.
