If anyone has any ideas let me know
Les
most of my research turned up that it was mig-21 engines, les. there was some discrepancy, and I do not think either would be wrong.
hey are either of those engines available in 1/72 as well??
actually the site that we found states that they are Mig-15 engines.

I heard they were Mig-21 Engines… I can’t get any descent pictures of a Tumansky R-11, so i can’t be sure… however, if you really want Mig-15 Engines, the best i could coume up with was this:

It’s a pic of the VK-1 Engines from Tamiya’s MiG-15bis Clear edition. It’s in 1/48th scale, though… you may want to try working in 1/72 because there are tanks available in this scale. [:)]
I did some more “Googling”, and i found this trivia from the movie Fires of Kuwait:
“The Hungarian team recycled a Russian T34 tank to create a spectacular prototype called “Big Wind.” They removed the gun turret and replaced it with jet engines from MIG-21 fighter planes. They injected water into the jet stream to blow the fires out.” Another site called it the “Desert Dragon”
Oh, and there’s also another vehcle along the same lines i found:

Though, it’s not as cool as the one mounted on the tank chassis!
yep, that one site is the only one I found that says their mig-15 engines, the other 3 or 4 I found said mig 21. if I found either in 1/72, I’d do it.
The best advice I can give is to purchase the 1/32 Trumpeter Mig-17/Mig-17PF which includes an engine. You may still need to add more parts on it. Take a look on these pic:
