Mics, headphones and Cables

Hi All, I want to scratchbuild Headphone sets for my Tiger I and Tiger II as well as for My PZ4, however I am unsure and cannot find any referances for the cable set up ( If the mic was a seperate hand held device) and the cable colors.
Any assistance will be a big help[:p]
thanks

Tim

I just glue a wire to the earphones and paint it black or a dark brown.

The tank commander here is an accurate representation. Panzer crews were equipped with throat mikes. You can simply shape sprue aroung the neck of your figure, flattening the ends slightly. The headphone cables ran to a junction box which attached to the belt, so the TC could switch from intercom to radio. Only the TC and gunner will have the switchbox. In combat, the radio operator ensured the FuG was set on the correct frequency, so the Commander could transmit orders using his switchbox. If necessary, he would change frequencies at the command of the TC, and go back to manning the hull MG.

Actually I used brass wire, painted black…much easier to work with.
