Sorry if this has been asked before. I just finished my REVELL Voodoo F-101 and all decals are in place. I’ve been using Microsol for a while with good results, but I’ve noticed that thick decals seems immune to Microsol. Either mine is ‘stale’ or is it time to give Solvaset a try? What are your thoughts?

Solvaset is heavy-duty. I use it for all my decals, but on delicate ones you have to be careful with it. But if micro-sol isn;t doing it, solvaset WILL.
I agree. Solvaset can damage most modern thin decals, but I have used it when all else fails. Just don’t over do the application.

This is good to know. Thinking about picking up a bottle, since I’ve had the same problem with Micro-Sol just bouncing off some thicker decals (my Dauntless WIP’s national insignia come to mind).
If Solvaset is so heavy duty, is there any way to dilute it somewhat?
I think so, but My method is to float the decal on water, position it exactly, blot the water away, then use small amounts of the stuff. It shouldn’t be a problem like that. Even on thin decals. Solvaset is gaurnteed to make it look like paint… but you gotta be careful.
