I heard he was the 1st or 2nd best in history (in my opinion the 1st)[bow]
Actually, I believe it was more like 4th when it came to tank kills, althogh there is no denying his place in history, which was solidified after Villers Boccage…however, I feel it is a disservice, and even disrespectful, to exaggerate his exploits to place him on a pedestal—his place in military history is secured without it.
Hello friends!

…does that book have the OOB for Wittman’s unit in Normandy (SSabt 101)???
I believe that Normandy is in Volume 2. You can view the Table of Contents by doing a search on www.amazon.com and entering Michael Wittman as the search.
I’m planning (hoping-assuming that it is in stock) on purchasing Vol.1 this evening (with a hot little 30% off coupon) to prep for the Panzer Aces GB.
…thanks, I am actually hoping someone will already have the book and be able to scan the Normandy OOB for me…
Yo Petr,
Sorry,
I can not help you.
But thank you so much for the link to your forums, there is so much material in there, at the end I had to break out
Really good research work going on and a lot of information that could/should be shared, dont you think?
Anyway, I have saved the link under Favorites!
Thank You

…do you have access to the Order of battle of Wittman’s unit during Normandy?
I looked online for an OOB for Wittmann’s unit at Normandy … didn’t find it. But I DID find this, nearly equally as cool…
…do you have access to the Order of battle of Wittman’s unit during Normandy?
Manstein-is this what you are looking for? Scott (espins1) posted it, along with a lot of other Wittman Order of Battle info over in the Panzer Aces GB recently.
