I found this website but it is in Russian. You can scroll and view the pictures, though:

See for yourselves!

Geeemini Christmas!!! That really is a tad off, isn’t it!! I thought the 1/144 Hasegawa DC-3 was bad, but yours takes the cake!
Thanks,
take care,
Frank
With so much talk about German engeneering, you wouldn’t know it from this kit! Sure the kit is old, but they could have done a little better job.
I am wondering how to disect the fuselage in order to make it a half decent kit. And that’s not all, virtually everything needs major surgery- the wheels, ther rotor hub, the blades… the list goes on.
B.
Ouch! I think that kit is the reason that we won the cold war, right? lol
Watch trumpeter jump on this beast and sell it for $150 bucks a pop, heheh.
w-ww-well… I guess I won’t be getting that one! h-hehe
How accurate are your plans?
I got them off the internet, they look pretty accurate, I superimposed a picture of the real thing and it shows the same innacuracies.
You can get the plans from here, the site is in russian but it is worth it:

and also:
now here is a worthy subject for one of the big model companies. i built an mil6 years back from one of the eastern european companies, cant remember the mfg. the kit was crude, innaccurate, flashridden, and fit like mud chips from a dry lake bed, but what a beauty of a subject. so big, so sleek, its the 1965 pontiac bonneville of rotorcraft!
id like to see it in 1:48 and ill be doing mine in pure snow white. imagine russia joining nato and sending a mil 26 in tiger meet paint! wow!!
I just picked up the 1/72 AModel kit last month. Seems to be pretty accurate, but it looks like it’s going to be a challenge to assemble.
Last month’s Model Graphix featured a build of this kit, and the builder said it was indeed difficult, but the results are worth it.
It’s huge, even in 1/72!
