For those interested in the Mi-26 I have added all my images to photot bucket at the following link. Please use them responsibly.
Thank’s for the link Dave , very cool pic’s .
I ordered the Zvezda Mi-26 kit the other day , I hope the kit will arrive sometime this week . The online hobby store is yet to confirm my order , I hope it went through okay , I tend to get a little anxious when I dont get an order confirmation after a couple of days . Perhaps I should email them to see if they received the order ??
Thank’s again for sharing the pic’s … John
With all these builds and walk arounds getting posted it is going to be really hard to resist the Mi-26 but I have no idea where I’m going to put it. I understand it is around 18" x 18", I wonder if I can slip a couple of other helicopters under those rotors.
Thanks for the pics though, they will be very useful when my willpower fails, (and it will). [:D]
Speaking from experience, the Mi-26 is a VERY large helicopter. The picture below is me in front of it (i’m 6ft tall BTW).

Tempting to buy the kit but it could be hard to fit in with all the 1/48 bombers I have planned.

Hi everyone , my Zvezda Mil Mi-26 just arrived in the post so I thought I would post some in-box pic’s . Overall the kit looks great , the rotor blades have a nice droop molded into them , there’s crew figures for the cockpit , panel lines are finely recessed and some nice fine ribbing on the inside the fuselage halves , rear doors can be posed open as with the side fuselage doors .
The third pic is a comparison between the Mil Mi-26 and a MH-53E Sea Dragon fuselage halves .
The Mi-26 is a big Bird .
Kind regards John
Here’s three more pic’s .
