Hi everybody!
Need help about the ceiling of DAP

“…aft from main transmission drip pan where the hinged compartment supposes to be in the center aft bulkhead
…“In its place was a 30 mm round counter system, which was two boxes that were mounted side by side in that area. They were about 8” rectangular boxes that hung down about 2" below level with the cabin ceiling.
The 30mm canon is carries on the wing. When it is removed, just the wings and the gun, and ammo can is removed. ALL of the wiring and boxes stay in the helicopter…"

I’ve got this information from crew chief of Super 61. But its not enough for me (as I never in my life was inside of one of Black Hawks its kinda hard to imagine)
I am asking you guys:
If by a chance anybody has a picture or drawing or even written explanation on this part of the ceiling - please let me know!!! I’ll really appreciate help!
I heard some guys here still work on UH-60’s maybe there is a possibility to make a picture for me of a this compartment (that just would be grate!
But as I said before the written explanation will be good aswell

Does anybody know how the 30 mm round counter system looks like…
maybe sombody has acces to manual !!! it would be just perfect!

Cobra Company makes the roof mounted “black boxes” in their M230, 30mm chain gun sytem set.

Thanks HeavyArty, I’ve seen all your photoes before I even started to build my Black Hawk. Cobra Company addon to Academy’s DAP is really nice BUT:
The aircraft that I am trying to “recreate” in my model copy was not a usual DAP… it was capable of being changed into an attack Blackhawk (DAP) so it did not carry those things that CC provides, only the round counter system was installed… which one of “black boxes” on your model’s ceiling is the device I need? I dont wanna order this CC kit just because of one small box that i can make by myself from a piece of plastic ;-))
ALL I NEED IS TO KNOW HOW DOES THIS THING LOOK LIKE ON A REAL AIRCRAFT

Sorry, no idea which black box is the round counter. Send me an email, and I may have another solution.
