can any one offer any help on best way to drill track pin holes in Friulmodel tracks.
Get yourself a Dremel cordless Mighty-Mite, make sure you get the additional cotter set, and their tiny drillbit set (smallest is 1/32) and go from there. You can pick one up at your local Wal-Mart for about $30 but it won’t come with all the required accessories, so check the packaging carefully.
I use a pin vise and a drill bit slightly larger than the wire I’m going to use for pins. Watch the track blocks though, they should be sided, so you only drill through from one direction and not all the way through. The outside of the track block should have a solid pin molded into it, that needs to stay and you put the wire in from the inside of the blocks.
Okay, I never drill my Fruils, and I never use the wire that is included in the box.
This is all I need to start…cutters and tailor pins from Wal Mart

The tracks are not sided…insert the pin…

The pin pokes through the soft metal on the other side…then clip the pinhead…

You get two blocks assembled…and you’re off! I can assemble 84 track links in about twenty minutes…ready for paint…

These pins are perfect interference fits, but if you feel the need for CA, go for it!
Hope this will work for you…

I do the exact same as spamicus here on my fruils , power tools cause you to lose control and break drill bits too often in this small size , and I think this loss of control could be dangerous if you put a bit into your finger . Flesh tends to roll onto a drill bit if it catches you so be very careful with that !
Check my site for more methods.
