I have never used these before and have them for my Kinetic S-2 kit. Can you tell me what adhesive to use for these metal parts to the plastic ?? I tried Gorilla brand superglue which did not work at all.

5min. epoxy is probably the best bet
Thanks, I have done small tests on two part 5 minute epoxy and it did not hold well, I tried gorilla glue, did not hold well, so gosh, what’s the point if no adhesive works ?? I will now test JB weld…we shall see, but there MUST be a good solution or this vendor would not be making these parts…right ??
I can’t imagine why epoxy didn’t work. Did you allow it to cure completely?
Super glue should work…I dont’ use the hardware store gel stuff, use hobby super glue such as Zap a gap.

I’ve noticed sometimes that if you mess with the join that’s been glued too much before it sets up that it won’t cure as well. I think this may be a brand thing though, but I don’t know. Also, the longer curing time epoxy is generally stronger after curing. The problem there is if you’re like me the patience required to leave it sitting might be an issue. [:)]
Ok doke. Thanks ! That could be the issue…I will glue each part and wait a day…geez what a process. I hope it’s worth it.
Well 5 min epoxy won’t need a whole day. 20 mins should be good enough to move on. I know things can be frustrating sometimes. Don’t let it get you fine though.

I suspect the surfaces you are trying to glue aren’t clean enough - please make sure they are smooth, sand them a bit and moisten them with acetone (works as degreaser and also makes CA cure faster) and let dry before applying CA. Hope it helps, have a nice day

I have sanded and cleaned, then glued using superglue from the local hobby store. Let it sit for a day and so far so good…I hope the same when I finally put the weight of the airplane on the gear !!
One nice thing about the metal parts is they are flexible, so if the fit is not accurate you can adjust things.

It has been a learning curve, using super glue…I hold things in place then my fingers are glued and I have to use a blade to cut them loose…so frustrating as it often releases the hold I have just tried to adhere…so crazy !! I am sure I am just being stupid somehow as I have not done this before…man I have aged beyond my 62 years…ha…oh well it is good to learn new things…right ??
