metal barrels

I am have a hard time finding a barrel for a PZ iv Ausf J. Has anyone got any suggestions?

I think Tamaya has some of those in their production line (at least they used to a few years back.
If you can´t find some of those you could try building some yourself.

Take some metal foil, not the thin kitchenn stuff though, and start experimenting. A barrel shouldn´t be that hard to make 1:35

try www.discountmodels.com or , if you havent already try VLS at www.modelmecca.com

box1,
Jordi Rubio makes a barrel for the Panzer IVJ. The number is JR35046 and can be found at www.bentbutnotbroken.com.

Just curious: which kit are you building? The gun that comes in the Tamiya kit is very nicely rendered.

Dave,
www.greatmodels.com shows the
1/35 jr05 German 7.5cm KwK L/48 as ‘in stock’ for about $7.
it is a Jordi Rubio metal barrel that i think is for your kit.
the blurb says :
Turned aluminum barrel with muzzle brake for Stug IV, Stug III F/G, PzKpfw IV G/H/J. This reference is discontinued and replaced by jr45.

so maybe it has been superceded.

i changed my search to: 1/35 Pzkpfw IV J barrel Jordi L/48
(use the Database link on left)
and got two.
the ‘new’ one is:
Jordi Rubio Accessories
jr46
1/35 jr46 7.5cm KwK L/48
Category: Armor Accessories 1/35
turned aluminum. For PzKpfw IVG/H/J. Replaces reference jr05
Retail Price: $12.95
Your Price: $11.65

your call.
i cannot say anything for or against the site.
i have a large order w/ them and about half of it is being waited on.

ed.

Seeing as you are “on the other side of the pond”, you may be better off dealing directly with Jordi Rubio yourself. I have ordered directly from them in the past and had good service from them.
