I have a Tamiya E model 1/48 that I can build and by the time this starts things will be slowing for me so I would love to make this GB my first. And it will give me a chance to learn a great deal from all the experienced builders as well.
Eagle, you mean this one. [:D]
Phil, o don’t worry, I have enough 72nd kits to last me a life time. I have been gathering a select number of 32nd aircraft kits for a few years now, just been waiting for the chance to build one.
Brandon, you can’t go far wrong selecting one of Mustang’s GB for your first. If only half of the guys from the 190 GB show up, it’s going to be another cracker.
That’s the one!!! That is going to be one very cool build! Are you going to do the engines spinner to match Hans-Joachim Marseille plane or do it like it is on the box?
Eagle90
I am going to do the spinner as it is on the box, just not sure if I will go for a more intricate white spiral or keep it simple.
LOL! You are going big already! Go for the spiral! Do it!!! [;)]
Eagle90
Count me in on this one mustang! I’m not sure which version 109 yet, but I’ll let you know when the official GB starts.
LOL, I have ben looking at a few G-6 spinners. I am currently thinking about doing either Hartmann’s or Barkhorn’s, would be nice to do one from a known aircraft.
Brandon and Bruce: Lookin’ forward to it. A GB is a great way to improve skills. I came to this forum knowing just enough to be dangerous and still am to some extent but I’ve learned alot of things along the way.
Meh, This will be miniscule compared to the mass hysteria that will erupt when Joe builds something in 1/72.[;)]
Are you sure the universe is ready for that.
Oh you know I’m in mah brotha!!! A first effort will be one of my Match Box 1/32nd “Es” also a 40/41 Balkins service unit, just havent decided which one yet. I kinda been wanting to do a Jg54 unit with the "Lizzard Skin camo pattern. To start with of course that is…LOL
Count me in. I’ll start with a Hobbycraft E-7. This will be my first attempt at mottling, so if I screw it up, it wont be that much of a loss. And if it DOES work out well, then I’ll whip out one of the Tamiya or Hasegawa 109s i have been saving until I got the skills to do them justice.
Count me in as interested.
I didn’t even get close to completing my build for the last 109 GB, maybe I can get it done this time around.
regards,
Jack
I’d like to throw my name in this hat too. I’ll figure out the specifics later. I have plenty enough going on at the moment. But this sounds great! =]
Uh, gee, let me think…
Yes please! I even have a specific kit in mind. [:P]
Pencil me in. I have a plethora of Hasegawa 109’s in the stash, unless I find Eduard’s taboo G-6 on Ebay for 5 buck in the meantime…lol…
Joe
**Doug:**Bout time you showed up!!! LOL . Looking forward to the “lizard skin” camo scheme. You never disappoint.
**ajd:**Going with an E-7 eh? and in the mottle paint. Looking forward to this build.
**Jack:**Would love having you in here for “round 2”!! Glad to have you on board.
**bvallot:**Come on with it, whatever it is, it’ll be good!!
**Greg:**Calling all Zvezda builders…calling all Zvezda builders…all aboard!!! lol
**Joe:**Really glad to have you here as well to be part of this. We still have a couple of months ahead of us so you’ve got plenty of time to choose which one you want to build.
There, I think I’m caught up! There’s already enough participation to start this build thread! Good stuff![Y]
I’m interested.! The stash is heavy on 109’s. It’ll be a 1/32. TBD. I really enjoyed my last 109, so looking forward to more mottling and RLMs!
Looks like this one is a go then! I kinda knew that this GB was going to draw quite a bit of interest, but all the replies in such a short tme is simply overwhelming. Good to see some guys from the 190 GB here too! [:D]
Bish: Holy cow, you really are going big! It’s nice to know I’m not the only one building one of the big Hasegawa kits!
Greg: I never had a look at the Zvezda 109. This is going to be interesting!
Please put me in Mustang. Great chance to build my 1/32 ROG Bf109G-6.
