Messerschmitt Bf109 GB Feeler--Official GB thread now up

Glad you are in on this. I haven’t seen You and Herman here in quite some time! (I was out for a while though)

Quite a setup, Mike. It will be nice to see someone do that kit. It does seem like it’s very well done, from my first glances into the box. Which scheme will you be doing?

Mike, looking forward to the Revell kit. Those RB PE sets certainly seem popular, I have not used them before but have the two for my F kit and looking forward to seeing how they come out.

Wow, we are up to page 17 and this GB has another 3 months before it starts! This is looking better every day.

Bish, Tom - yeah, I’ve read a lot of good stuff about the Revell kits, and since my scale of choice recently seems to be 1/32, it seems like a perfect it. Tom, I’ll be building the Black 13. The 81/82/NMF colors really caught my eye.

pj - it sure is looking good! This is going to be an epic GB!

Its always a good sign when people put so much interest in the feeler and use it to plan their builds and share some info.

Been reading thru these amazing 17 pages, so as a total newbie to Group Builds, what are the rules? Commit to join, declare your kit and markings and then post progress? Can you old hands enlighten me bacuase I am tempted but with trepidation! Thanks!

Yeah, that’s pretty much it. You don’t even need to declare the markings, just build OTB (out of the box) if you want. Just jump in and have fun. No pressure to do great and wonderful things, Just have fun.[snWow][snYea][:D]

As Steve says, you don’t need to declare your markings. This is only the feeler, so for now you just need to say your interested in joining. Once the actual GB thread starts, the host will post a roster of thpose taking part and the kit they are building. The main thing for now is not to start building the kit until the GB starts, in this case jan.

I started a thread last year to help new members with GB’s as many were asking, hopefully you might find it useful.

Which is exactly why there is a feeler for this build. [:D]

Thanks for the vote of confidence ruddratt.[Y]

The build will start on Jan 1’st so that’ll give you plenty of time to gather the kit you want, the supplies you wnat and be thinking about the scheme you want. We’d be glad to have you as a part of this build orfy! [H]

A hats off and thanks go out to all you folks jumping in and making the new guys feel welcome and at home here.[Y][Y][Y]

OW… Welcome, and glad to have you aboard… I think you will find this lot an interesting and entertaining group of guys, and on occasion a lady or two, just have fun and feel free to ask questions or add to the mix, we all learn from each other, and I think you are going to find some very talented builders here.

On that note, may we ask a little about you and your modeling background just to get to know you a bit better? Not tryi g to be nosey, just so we can maybe make you feel more at home here.

Again, welcome and have a good time!

Doug

Good points Doug![Y]

Not sure about me yet, still addicted to the 190’s I think I acquired 13 of them during the build and built three no wait 4! I’m not sure I have any 109’s in my stash. I guess that means I should start collecting[:O]

John

Come on with it John!

You must also finish at all costs, or Joe will personally call you up and pester you with that rich Texan accent…

Awww hell! So it’s gonna be like that!!! lol

Seriously, you don’t want that Orfy.
