I love the paint job on the Aardvark. What kind of paints did you use, and what colors?
I like to use Testors Model Master enamels; I’ve noticed that the 3 colors for the SE Asia scheme (dark green / medium green / dark tan) don’t quite look the way they should. Did you adjust the colors for scale effect?

I use Humbrol enamels, they produce the SEA colours Dark/Light Green and Tan as No’s 116,117&118 if my memory serves correctly. I adjusted the two greens by making them lighter with a little white paint. I think that the Humbrol greens were a little too dark for this scheme, so just out of personal preference I lightened them. Is it accurate? Probably not[:I] ,but I like it anyway![:D]

Very nice model. My favorite name for the one eleven is “Switchblade Edsel” in dishonor of Bobby McNamara. He almost drove Ford Motor Company into bankruptcy with his ideas on the Edsel car, then became Secretary of Defense under President Johnson and was the #1 primary cause of many of the troubles in Viet Nam. His idea that one airplane will do everything for everybody just won’t work.
In spite of him, the plane eventually became quite a good aircraft. I am an old “SAC Weenie” so I particularly like the FB version. [alien]
