Merkava MK.3/ steel or rubber road wheels?

Am building a Meng Merkava MK.3 BAZ/with mine roller system. My question is which road wheels to use or a combination of both. Not being a tanker what’s the diff between them.

The only post WWII MBT that I can think of with steel rimmed road wheels is the T-64.
