Meng T-90A?

I hope to have one of these beasts arriving in the next day or two, I know its a very recent kit but does anybody know of a build log for it yet? Had a quick flick through the instructions for it (found them online) and there some areas I’d really like to see how other people tackled.

Also since its looks like such a beast I’m really considering a diorama for it, just finding some trouble getting inspiration for it (when a good portion of the pics are staged flying tanks or armour parade/training that’s what’s set into my mental image of it). Any suggestion would be welcome.

Andrew

Hi Andrew,

The kit has its ups and downs but…wow!

I am like 35% into it, very happy.

I have not found a MENG complete build log quite yet but here is a starter.

Also for reference you need to get panzer35.ru/…/45-8059-1 in your list.

This is about the Zvezda but there is so much in there, just hold your breath and dig in,

I use Google translate to get around the most obvious problem.

You are in for a treat

Very Best Regards

Johan

The aforementioned blog is really good, here is another one starting up

www.modelerssocialclub.proboards.com/…/pt109s-sprue-shots-build-review

there is a whole group build going on over there, some more Meng’s might pop up

Here’s an in box review

My thanks for the links, Checking them out now. Cheers.

Thinking about setting it the model in a World War Z style diorama, fits my desire perfect. I like the paint scheme and lines of the T-90 so I would prefer a relative clean vehicle but also want to take advantage of the independent suspension on the kit, so park it on top of a couple of zombie bodies?

there is also a new T-90 from trumpeter.

how does it compare to Meng?

which one is the better kit?

The Meng is probably a more complicated but detailed build, while the the Trumpeter is probably a less complicated build, but not as well deatailed.Depends on your preferences, but I have heard good things about both.
