I’ve never had to build tracks with individual links before and can’t figure out how to do it. I don’t think the instructions are clear and I simply can’t figure out how to proceed. If anyone has built this kit and understands how to make the tracks could you maybe give me a link to a tutorial on how it’s done? I don’t know if different manufacturers use different methods but in looking at sites thanks to Google I didn’t find anything similar to what I have. Otherwise the kit is fabulous and loaded with great features including many moving parts. I should add that I’ve got perhaps 40 years of modeling under my belt which probably adds to my frustration in that I can’t figure it out.
I did this tutorial years ago, and it’s still good and relevant. Should tell you everything you need to know!

It works perfectly but the Meng system is totally different from the one you demonstrate. I’d attempt to describe it but don’t think I can. Thanks for the help and once I figure it out I’ll certainly use your painting tips.

That’s the page that for whatever the reason has me stumped. It’s probably a mind set now that I’ve convinced myself that I can’t figure it out but the parts C1 and C2 are the problem. Not only can’t I seem to assemble them but I don’t understand how to continue building it into one long track. I’ve learned enough to know that when I get frustrated I need to step aside so I’ve put it in the basement stash and started something else.
looking at the instructions and the parts list there are only 2 A5s and 2 A6s. i surmise A5 and A6 represent the final link to close the track loop. won’t be starting mine until next year.
Correct on those parts. I think you’ll enjoy the kit. The blade and claw work as they should and the cabin is well detailed. I didn’t attach the roof because I wanted to be able to see inside. From a distance you can’t really see the tracks are not there.
