Meguiar's wax on autos

Enzo Man suggested Meguiar’s Deep Crystal Polish a few posts ago. I tried it on a scrap body and it works great but one has to be delicate with it. It seems to soften up the paint somewhat. I tried the Cleaner which is a seperate bottle, number 1 in the Meguiar’s Deep Crystal System, and it ate right through model sprays in quick order. That said, the spots that it didn’t eat through really turned up nice when the wax was put on top. I am going to try auto enamels next with this stuff. Looks like it will work really well.

Yep. It sure is great stuff. It took me quite a few models and several attempts each each before I got my technique down. This stuff is meant for large scale cars, 1:1 to be exact. Just be sure to let the paint dry several days or more. Be sure to have a good layer of paint too. And use a VERY little bit of the goo at a time and work slowly. I only use it on Duplicolor acylic laquers. I tried it on testors spray early in my experimenting and (at least on my kit) actually made to paint duller if anything. It takes a while to do, but boy does it look pretty! If anyone has any questions, ask me. A wise man once said, “Practice makes perfect”.
