i had some medi swabs laying round and an idea popped in2 my head… these things comtain alcohol right? yes theydo! i se them for minor clean up job, and i imagine that they would be perfect for doing washes aswell…
oh and do those face wipes from kfc contain alcohol? i could stock up real easy… hehehe
I have a friend in California who works at a hospital as a respiratory therapist. One time, we were cleaning out his garage and he gave me a box of the little rubbing-alcohol-soaked wipes. Each of them comes in an individual foil-wrapped package and there’s about 200 to a box. When I want to paint, I first blow the dust off the part with a quick blast of that canned air for computers, then wipe the skin oil and stuff off with one of those medical wipes.
haha I was a Respiratory Therapist in a past life (as in 1980’s - 90’s) I used to use all KINDS of stuff from the job for modelling… IV catheters for scraping small parts like landing struts, all the hemostats, scalpels and squiggly looking surgical instruments I could bear to use etc… After breaking my wrist and having to have it fused… (i.e. can’t bend it) it’s computers now for me… and same story… there’s all KINDS of stuff I find I can use for models…
