James, I heard the same about the lube so I got some with my new Iwata but I can’t vouch to the validity of the claims ( edit: I’ve only used it once so far). I would imagine it will help keep the trigger area from wearing as quick. I don’t know about the cleaner. Anything that cleans it well should be fine I think.
The Medea cleaner is good but you can make your own cleaner for much less money.
Mix 2 parts distilled water, 1 part Windex, and 1 part Simple Green.
It works great!
The Super Lube is fantastic and I would not go without it.
It helps smooth the action of the airbrush and stops paint from drying to the needle. I have two airbrushes in the garage right now with acrylic T-shirt paint in them, and the bottles still attached to the siphon tube from the last time I airbrushed with them which was about 2 months ago, and they still work like I just cleaned them.
